Boko Haram attacks Maniok community in Borno, kills 25 persons

No fewer than 25 people have been killed and scores injured by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists in Mainok village on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
DAILY POST learnt that the insurgents invaded the town in droves and spent about four hours killing civilians.
The Boko Haram members also destroyed an estimated 30 vehicles and burnt down hundreds of homes, according to the same sources.
Ali Muhammadu, a resident fleeing the area, confirmed that at least 25 civilians were murdered and that many vehicles and homes were destroyed.
He added that the Boko Haram insurgents attacked drivers along the Maiduguri-Damaturu roadway, killing many of them.
”We have buried some but some were burnt beyond recognition,” he said.
