PASTOR OYAKHILOME’S EX-WIFE WARNS "BEWARE OF FAKE MEN OF GOD"

Pastor Anita Ebodaghe, the recently divorced ex-wife of Believer’s Love World (Christ Embassy) founder, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, dwelling on false prophets and other topics in her blog article “Soul Winning’.
When people talk about winning souls these days, I feel absolutely concerned for the so-called souls. It looks to me like a lion on a breakfast mission, in search for his hunt; he hides behind the grass for an unwise lamb that would wander away from the herd in search of fresh grass. This will be an easy catch and good feast for the lion’s plate.
When I hear these people talk about winning souls, I feel sorry for the souls who have no idea of what they are getting into. It sometimes sounds to me like blood-thirty people desperate to count the number of innocent, ignorant people who will give their blood to be sucked. These souls are classified, as those who are needy, can undoubtedly gullible in their search for solutions and wanting to identify or belong to a community.
These souls are caught when they are most vulnerable maybe they have lost a loved one, in a bad relationship with their parents or family, in need of healing or desperate for a change. At this point they will give anything and do anything without a second thought.
When caught by the wrong hands, they will start running in a wheel. Initially, the souls will be treated with some measure of care, so they do not detach. This will be short lived to prepare them to be trained as unconscious servants. Once the attachment is built, they would start attending endless meetings till they begin to be unavailable for their loved ones and disassociate from their families over time. These souls will eventually give their energy away and with time they begin to feel tired, unhappy, sick, financially drained and depleted. Unknown to them, this new community and friends maybe superficial. The souls might observe that sweet and bitter method of sucking their blood has gradually robbed them of their self worth. They might realize they have given their energy to somebody else and they are now hanging in the spider’s web.
They are tied up with daily and weekly responsibilities but if you look closely, their main leader is seating in a place of convenience by handling brief monthly meetings (not weekly) or occasional gatherings.
When I hear about souls, I have sympathy for those who give their blood to be sucked. They are simply prey to be used as objects in some people’s game. Incidentally, some of these souls have become wiser in seeking the opportunity to reap the reaper in his own game, like the buffalo who challenges the tiger.
Mt 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
An aggressive soul winner is hungry like a hunter; he goes with all manner of tools and uses different technique to capture his prey.
Soul winning alone will not take you to heaven; you win a soul by living the God life and your personal interest in bringing somebody to the knowledge of Christ. You have to be in a good frame of mind first, not under fear or compulsion that if you do not win souls you will go to hell. There should be no ulterior motives like getting the soul’s money eventually, you want a position or seeking to be rewarded with treats or awards. There are people who reach out to others daily not for any earthly reward or to direct the souls to their own churches, for benefits or for any selfish reason. These people recommend and make available other authors, ministers and local assemblies for the interest of the soul alone.
Every man should learn to take care of himself first. He should learn to use his initiative and study for himself otherwise he might become somebody’s big catch or ‘meat’. At that point he would have no one to blame.
I have written this for those who have asked me questions on soul winning and their fears.
“And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Mat 24:11-14
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”
2 Tim3:1-5

IT'S A LIE!

IT'S A LIE!
A man was in the habit of never accepting responsibility for his actions. He would always respond to every accusation, even if was true, with a familiar refrain, "It's a lie!"
One day, in an attempt to save his new car from being dented by a careless bicycle rider, he jumped between the rider and the car, and in the process, saved the rider from an accident. The man did not recognize the rider was the King's nephew. The gratfeful king invited the man to a surprise feast in his honour and a brand new car as a gift. "Is it true you jumped between a rider and your car?" Thinking it was another accusation, the man responded, "It's a lie!" Thereupon, the king turned the feast into a celebration of his nephew's life. In a twist of fate, the nephew also got promoted from a bicycle rider to a car owner.

DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
There is the story of a preacher visiting the tallest building in a city where he had just given a motivational sermon. One of the things he said was to never judge a book by its cover. Things and people are not always what or who they seem. "Dig deeper," he said, "The best water is not found on the surface." He advised his listeners to seek for clarification and search for information about things and people before jumping into conclusions.
After stepping out of the magnificent building, he saw a man smoking away. He couldn't bear the fact that someone was smoking in front of a monumental edifice. Without seeking for clarification, the preacher said to the smoker, "Are you not ashamed to be smoking in front of a building like this?" The smoker threw away the cigarette in obedience. "With that obedience," the preacher says boisterously, "I prophesy success into your life. You will put up a building like this someday." When the man did not say amen, the preacher asked why. The man replied, "I do not plan to pull down this building and build another, sir." "Nobody is asking you to pull down any building. You will build your own. That's the word." As the man moves away, "You don't understand, sir. I built and own this building."

IS THE GRASS REALLY GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE?
The story is told of a man who is about to leave his wife because he thinks she is arrogant and materialistic. He asks God for options. God, obliging, asks him to come on a trip with him. On the way, they stay in the home of a lady who warmly welcomes them, washes their feet and gives them food kneeling humbly before them. "This is unlike my arrogant wife," the man volunteers. God responds: "Will you still have her if you knew she was insolent and untidy?" "No, Lord," comes the quick response, "I can't stick an insolent and untidy wife." The woman's beautiful cousin comes in to clean up the table. Her simple dress and subdued makeup endears her to the man. He asks their hostess, "How come your cousin is so simple?" "Don't mind her. She thinks money is not everything and that material things are secondary to more important issues of life." Impressed, he asks God, "Can I have her? In fact, I will like to have her!" "Okay," says God, "but please allow her to take her hypertension pills. Besides, you have to go to school on how to tame a woman with a sharp tongue." The man stands up and says, "Can I still have my wife?" The Lord responds, "Your arrogant and materialistic wife?" "Yes, my arrogant and materialist wife!" "Yes, you can! On the condition that you promise not to trouble me on this issue again." "I promise."
Doesn't the grass always seem greener on the other side?

THE LONELY ROAD

THE LONELY ROAD
There is so much comfort in staying with the crowd - following their dictates and falling in line with their creed. You are accepted by the group. You are safe. But the moment you step out of the group's boundary, you are on your own. Alone, without a 'valuable' support, you take your first faltering steps away from your comfort zone, into the unusual road to your destinies and relevance. It's a lonely road, filled with uncertainties and discomfort. But it is the only road there is that leads to true happiness and a life of impact. Only an inner strength can keep you passionate and enthusiastic on this road less traveled by men. Only a staying power beyond the ordinary can keep your eyes on the prize.
If you constantly avoid the lonely road, you will be insulated from the shame that comes with staying 'against' the crowd. But you will also neither possess the joy of living your dream nor the glory of a major accomplishment.
Are you on the lonely road?

CAN IT BE TRUE?
Can it be true that I am not a creation of my environment? That I am not constrained to operate within the boundaries of my circumstances? That, indeed, I can become anything far above the limitations imposed by my society?
Now, someone has to help me before I lose my mind. Can it be true that the environment is at an attention, waiting for me to issue it a command? And that it is only when I do nothing that the environment assumes leadership and begins to assert itself?
Can it be true that I am much more than I am tempted to think that I am? That my experiences and those of others do not and should not define me? That, indeed, I am a divine being, created in God's image and programmed to "be fruitful, multiply..and exercise dominion" over the environment?
Can it be true?

GOOD FOR NOTHING?

GOOD FOR NOTHING?
A man lived for many years believing that he was "good for nothing". Nothing he touched turned out well. His wife left him and one of his children changed his surname out of shame. His landlord threw out his belongings in what he considered as the last straw. His back against the wall, the man contemplated suicide. But before he took his life, he decided he would like to die using the most efficient poison. So, he went on his last journey to carry out a research on suicide poisons. In the end he came up with a concoction of poisons that could take life and dry up bones and marrows in a few minutes. On his way back, he came to a village that had been rampaged by rats. Seeing an opportunity, he decided to tarry a while in the village to produce his branded poison in commercial quantity. He named it "GOOD FOR NOTHING INSTANT RAT KILLER". The market's response was overwhelming. Soon, he built a factory. Soon, marketing outlets opened up in nearby villages. Soon, he franchised the production in other lands. He became a millionaire. Old friends came running back. New ones lined up everyday. Awards followed awards. He was good for something after all.
Are you said to be good for nothing and are tired of life? Before you commit suicide, take a journey into the land of skill acquisition. Spend your last penny to learn a new skill or to update one you already have. Before you know it, an opportunity that meets your skill might make you change your mind.
Go for skill. Even if you still want to commit suicide, you are better off dead in your work cloths than in your sackcloths and ashes. Believe me.

IS SEEING BELIEVING?
No man should underestimate the power of facts and their effects on strengthening our faith or empowering our doubts. Eyes see facts, limiting as they might be sometimes. We see evil and we cringe in fear. We see good and we are ecstatic with joy. As the saying goes, 'seeing is believing'.
Can I give an advise? Don't always trust your eyes. Your yes are of no use to you unless they are aligned with your vision. And in case you don't know, every authentic vision has inner eyes with which it sees a glorious future ahead. Whereas you can trust your inner eyes to lead you to your beneficial future, you will be a fool to make your physical eyes the primary source of your information.
I believe; so, I see. That's the tuff of world-changers. They see with their inner eyes a possibility that the physical eyes are too limited to see. They believe in the facts that the physical eyes are not trained to see. And through the power of inner sight, they brace the odds and force the physical eyes into agreement, which belatedly record the new breakthrough and present it as the new facts. These facts remain valid and unchallenged until you or another through the power of inner sight decide to change them.
Is seeing believing? If you still believe that, you can as well bid a goodbye to making a major contribution to your world.
