Political thugs don't buy guns for themselves

Political thugs don't buy guns for themselves. The guns are bought by politicians. These guns are used to assassinate political opponents, snatch ballot boxes, intimidate voters and electoral officers. It has been established since 1999 that after the elections, the criminal politicians don't retrieve the guns from their goons. And when the politician who bought the guns loses elections, oftentimes the thugs use the guns to cause mayhem and make the state or constituencies ungovernable for the winner.

In some other cases even when the politician wins, he retains the  services of the goons to continue his intimidation and dominance of the opposition. These kind of activities led to the demise of prominent politicians such as Funso Williams, Marshall Harry, Aminosari Dikibo, Chief Bola Ige, just to mention a few, not to mention millions of ordinary Nigeria who have been felled by the bullets of these murderers.

OBJ is a person Nigerians should hang a huge stone around his nec

I had the privilege of sitting with some elderly men yesterday, amongst whom are executive management retirees of NITEL, who said OBJ is a person Nigerians should hang a huge stone around his neck, then drop him from a helicopter into the deepest part of the Atlantic ocean.

I heard for d first time that OBJ was Gowon's Minister of Works in 1975, that OBJ pitched the tent with Muritala when Gowon began to probe an N4Million OBJ claimed he spent grading Lagos-Ibadan Road, which was then without asphalt. So it's been long since Lagos-Ibadan has demons.

It was recounted that OBJ worked with Murtala to topple Gowon within a month when a newspaper called Daily Sketch broke a scoop of missing millions in OBJ's Ministry. OBJ was appointed Murtala's Chief of Staff thereafter, while TY Danjuma was the Chief of Army Staff.

It was also said that right after Gowon's oil boom (Udoji) Nigeria entered into a recession, with acute food shortage between 1977 - 1978. OBJ sought to escape from scandals of looting and economy woes that followed by handing over govt to Shagari. Buhari was his Petroleum Minister.
